Palmrest — Privacy Policy

Palmrest is a personal screen-time app. It puts a short, skippable pause in front of the apps you choose and asks one question: why now? This policy explains what Palmrest stores, what it never sees, and where data goes.

What Palmrest stores, on your device

• How many times you paused, let an app go, or continued, per day.
• The reason you tapped (for example Habit, Bored, Notification) and the hour of day.
• Your settings: pause length, the "actually needed" window, language, theme, daily-summary time, and the nicknames you give your chosen apps.

All of this lives only on your device, in the app's own storage. "Reset all data" in Settings deletes it, and so does uninstalling the app. There is no account and no server behind Palmrest.

What Palmrest never sees

• Which apps you chose. Apple's Screen Time picker gives Palmrest only opaque tokens, not names or icons. Those tokens stay on your device and cannot be read by us.
• What you do inside apps. Palmrest has no access to your activity, content, or usage inside any app.
• Anyone else's device. Palmrest asks for Screen Time permission for your own device only. It is not a parental-control product and does not use Family Sharing.

Screen Time data is never sent off the device, never used for advertising, and never shared with or sold to third parties.

Anonymous analytics and crash reports

To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, Palmrest uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google. What is sent:

• Event names and counts, such as "a pause was shown", "the user chose Not now", or "a reason was tagged", with the hour of day. Never which app was involved.
• Your settings values (for example the pause length) and whether you use the free or Plus tier.
• A random identifier created by Palmrest and kept in your device's keychain so that analytics stay consistent across reinstalls. It is not linked to your name, e-mail, Apple ID, or any advertising identifier.
• Crash reports: device model, OS version, and the state of the app when it crashed.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Palmrest does not show ads and does not use any advertising identifier.

Purchases

Palmrest Plus is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment; Palmrest never sees your payment details. Palmrest only checks, on the device, whether a subscription is active.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily summary, Palmrest schedules one local notification per day on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to do this.

Future features

We may add an optional account or cloud backup so your counts and settings can follow you to a new phone. If we do, it will store only the app-generated data described above — never Screen Time data — it will be off unless you turn it on, and this policy will be updated before the feature ships.

Children

Palmrest is not directed at children under 13 and is not a parental-control tool.

Palmrest'in asla görmedikleri

• Hangi uygulamaları seçtiğin. Apple'ın Ekran Süresi seçicisi Palmrest'e ad ya da simge değil, yalnızca opak token'lar verir. Bu token'lar cihazında kalır ve bizim tarafımızdan okunamaz.
• Uygulamaların içinde ne yaptığın. Palmrest'in hiçbir uygulamadaki etkinliğine, içeriğine ya da kullanımına erişimi yoktur.
• Başkasının cihazı. Palmrest, Ekran Süresi iznini yalnızca kendi cihazın için ister. Ebeveyn denetimi ürünü değildir ve Aile Paylaşımı kullanmaz.

Ekran Süresi verisi asla cihaz dışına gönderilmez, reklam için kullanılmaz, üçüncü taraflarla paylaşılmaz ya da satılmaz.

Anonim analitik ve çökme raporları

Uygulamanın nasıl kullanıldığını anlamak ve çökmeleri düzeltmek için Palmrest, Google'ın sunduğu Firebase Analytics ve Firebase Crashlytics servislerini kullanır. Gönderilenler:

• Olay adları ve sayıları; örneğin "bir duraklama gösterildi", "kullanıcı Şimdi değil dedi", "bir sebep etiketlendi" ve günün saati. Asla hangi uygulamanın söz konusu olduğu.
• Ayar değerlerin (örneğin duraklama süresi) ve ücretsiz mi Plus mı kullandığın.

Satın almalar

Palmrest Plus, Apple'ın uygulama içi satın alma sistemiyle satılır. Ödemeyi Apple yürütür; Palmrest ödeme bilgilerini hiç görmez. Palmrest yalnızca cihazda aboneliğin etkin olup olmadığını kontrol eder.

Bildirimler

Günlük özeti açarsan Palmrest cihazında günde bir yerel bildirim planlar. Bunun için sunucuya hiçbir şey gönderilmez.

Gelecek özellikler

Sayaçlarının ve ayarlarının yeni telefonuna taşınabilmesi için isteğe bağlı bir hesap ya da bulut yedeği ekleyebiliriz. Eklersek yalnızca yukarıda anlatılan uygulama verisini saklayacak, asla Ekran Süresi verisini saklamayacak, sen açmadıkça kapalı olacak ve bu politika özellik yayınlanmadan önce güncellenecek.

Çocuklar

Palmrest 13 yaş altı çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bir ebeveyn denetimi aracı değildir.
